Objectives
To re-establish the focus group structure across Scotland:
involving foster carers,sons and daughters of foster carers, children being fostered and family placement and social workers.
To identify key issues for training and lobbying with decision makers
To co-ordinate membership meetings across Scotland:
offering carers, social workers, children and young people an opportunity to meet, train and discuss specific issues of interest.
To assist in the development of local groups:
to enable foster carers to share experiences and provide peer support.
To inform, influence and work closely with policy makers:
influencing the Scottish Executive and local authorities to address these issues and impact upon policy development at local and national level.
