The Young People’s project has produced two films dealing with

  • the issues and needs of young people in foster care, and
  • the issues and needs of the sons and daughters of foster carers

The young people involved in producing the films are very proud of their work, the important messages highlighted and the changes which are required to ensure that young people are adequately supported.

The videos were presented at a launch in Stirling on 20 February which included a presentation from Robert Brown, Deputy Minister for Education and Young People, and a panel discussion.

Videos presented at ADSW annual conference

On 11 May young people presented their Forgotten Voices video to delegates at the annual conference of the Association of Directors of Social Work. The event was filmed and will be included in a documentary that charts the progress of the demands made in the Forgotten Voices videos.
