In the first year, help and advice to new and established Support Care schemes will be limited. Schemes will be able to email queries, which will be answered as quickly as possible, and a telephone consultation may be booked if necessary. There will be an FAQ page, which will be regularly updated.

Membership of the Network will entitle one Support Care scheme that is in the process of being set up to free consultancy support for one year. To apply for this service, please send us a brief outline of your current position, covering the following points:

  • How close are you to setting up your scheme?
  • Do you have the support of senior management?
  • Has a member of staff been appointed to coordinate the scheme?
  • Has a budget been allocated for this work?
  • Has it been decided where the scheme will be positioned within the department?
