Dealing with legal issues
Foster carers are increasingly involved in the legal side of fostering whether supporting a young person through the asylum seeking process, giving evidence in care proceedings or seeking legal help for a child in their care.
Being involved in the legal system can be very daunting and it is important that foster carers have a good understanding of their role and what is expected of them. We have produced a range of resources on different legal issues that you may encounter which members can access below.
Members of the Fostering Network can also log in here for more information and resources on dealing with legal issues, and access to peer to peer support in our online community.
