Attachment
The ability to form attachments to those caring for them is important for child development. Attachment difficulties can affect children's long term outcomes and can factor in behaviourial difficulties.
Foster carers need to have an understanding of how attachment develops, what can cause attachment difficulties and the issues that attachment difficulties can cause in a child's behaviour and development.
We have produced a range of resources on attachment. Members of the Fostering Network log in here for more information and resources on attachment, and access to peer to peer support in our online community.
