Behaviour
An increasing number of children and young people in foster care have behaviourial issues. Behaviour management is an important issue for foster carers to ensure that both children and foster carers are kept safe and that appropriate methods are used in coping with behaviour issues.
Foster carers should receive appropriate training and support around behaviour management and what might be causing the problem behaviours. We have produced a range of resources on behaviour for foster carers. Members of the Fostering Network log in here for more information and resources on behaviour, and access to peer to peer support in our online community.
