Developments in foster care
Fostered children and young people have very different needs and it is important that foster care reflects and meets these needs.
Different types of fostering include multi-dimensional treatment foster care where highly trained foster carers can give additional support to young people with severe difficulties and social pedagogy where foster carers and others work holistically to improve outcomes for children and young people.
Members of the Fostering Network log in here for more information and resources on different approaches to foster care, and access to peer to peer support in our online community.
