Placements ending
Placements end for many reasons, some planned and some unexpected. Placement breakdown can be very stressful for both foster carers and the children they look after. Foster carers caring for older young people play an important part in ensuring that young people are prepared for the move to independence.
It is important that foster carers get the support that they need when coping with a placement breakdown. Our resources provide information for you and you can also get advice from our advicelines across the UK.
Members of the Fostering Network log in here for more information and resources on placement breakdown, and access to peer to peer support in our online community.
