Supporting foster families
Contact with their families while in foster care is often very important to fostered children and foster carers play a vital role in facilitating contact, whether it is accompanying a child to contact or using their own home as the place for contact. Fostering services need to be aware of their responsibilties around contact and the support that foster carers may need in providing contact.
In 2011, the Fostering Network received funding to undertake the Supporting Contact project to produce good practice guidance on contact. You can download the resource pack below.
We provide a range of resources and publications around contact. Staff at organisations that are members of the Fostering Network should log in to access exclusive members-only resources.
