Get active to support foster families

Families are being encouraged to get active and take part in a four-mile sponsored walk to raise funds for Northern Ireland’s leading fostering charity.

Taking place on Saturday 20 March in Castlewellan Forest Park, County Down, the Fostering Network’s first ever sponsored walk will see over 100 fundraisers dust off their walking shoes and aim to raise more than £2,000.

Lorna Patterson, fundraising and events officer at the Fostering Network Northern Ireland, said: “The Spring into Spring sponsored walk is a great opportunity to bring the whole family together, get active and raise money to support fostered children and foster families.

“Everyone is welcome to take part, so dust off the cobwebs and jump into spring. You can even bring the dog!”

Registration is £8 for adults and £4 for children and there will be prizes for the best fundraiser. For more information contact lorna.patterson@fostering.net or call 028 9070 5056.
