Image of the cover of the Summer 2008 issueFoster Care magazine, published quarterly by leading charity the Fostering Network, is now available to read online. At the click of a button, foster carers and others interested in fostering can read the full content of the magazine and more at http://fcm.fostering.net

The current summer edition of the magazine includes an in-depth look at men who foster; a feature about a foster carer’s campaign for educational support for fostered children; and an interview with Kevin Williams, chief executive of The Children and Adolescent Trust (TACT). It also has real life stories, letters and advice. Online readers can leave their comments about articles and join in the debate on issues such as allegations, leaving care, education and pay.

Laurence Pollock, editor of Foster Care magazine, said: "Almost 90 percent of foster carers have internet access at home. Being able to have a look at Foster Care magazine while they are online is a great chance for them, and others, to get really involved in current debates in fostering and in the Fostering Network’s campaigns. It is the only magazine to focus exclusively on fostering and allow all voices, from across the sector and across the UK, to be heard.

"The magazine has seen major content and design developments in the last two years. Its new, online, format gives readers the chance to debate topical issues and developments, on a real-time basis, to share their experiences and to raise questions that concern them."
