As a fostering household member, you will get:
Expert advice and support when you need it
24hr dedicated helplines
Two helplines available 24 hours a day - legal advice for all your legal queries be they related to fostering or not; and a completely confidential stress counselling helpline. Members can access the helpline number here
Expert legal assistance
Attendance by a qualified and experienced solicitor should you or any of your household have to attend a police interview as a result of an allegation
Legal expenses cover
Cover for up to £100,000 if a criminal or civil proceeding is brought against you or any of your household as a result of an allegation. This also includes cover for Supported Lodgings and Staying Put Providers (for foster carers and former foster carers) who look after a young person up to the age of 25 and any costs incurred (including correspondence) during Stage 4 of the decision making process prior to a barring decision made by the ISA (including equivalent in Northern Ireland or Scotland).

Membership is less than £1 a week – just £46 per household per year – covering up to two foster carers and any sons or daughters living in the household, including over 18s. Fostering services can also purchase block membership for their foster carers.
