Helping to ensure a high quality fostering service
Wednesday, 4 July, 2012
The Fostering Network has developed a support package for fostering service managers in England to help them monitor how their service is performing.
The support package includes a comprehensive fostering managers' handbook, a guide to policies and procedures which summarises what a fostering service is required to have in place to be compliant with regulations, statutory guidance and NMS. It also contains frameworks for undertaking and recording regular quality assurance audits, a set of tools, made up of a quarterly executive reporting template and pro formas and templates and two days' consultancy with experts from the Fostering Network.
Jo Denoris, business development manager at the Fostering Network, said, "We are committed to supporting the delivery of high quality fostering services which help children and young people to do well in life.
"The revised fostering regulations, standards and statutory guidance, as well as Ofsted's new inspection framework, all highlight the importance of a robust approach to quality assurance. This new quality assurance support package will help fostering service managers understand how well their service is performing at all times."
The new support package is available at an introductory price for a limited period. It has been specially designed to meet the needs of managers of fostering services, as well as their own managers and others with a quality assurance role.
