New guides take stress out of money matters
Monday, 11 June, 2012
The Fostering Network has updated two of its Signposts in Fostering series of guides to provide foster carers with clear and up-to-date financial information and advice.
Income Tax and National Insurance, and Benefits have both been refreshed to reflect the changes announced in the Budget on 21 March 2012.
The helpful booklets outline special rules that apply to foster carers, steer readers through complex processes such as completing self-assessment tax returns, and recommend who to contact for more help where needed.
Jo Denoris at the Fostering Network said: “We know that foster carers have enough to do without worrying about their tax liability or spending ages working out which benefits to claim.
“These Signpost booklets make these money matters easier by providing clear and succinct information and guiding foster carers through the process so they feel reassured and confident.”
Members of the Fostering Network can download the Income Tax and National Insurance signpost and the Benefits signpost for free from our website, or you can order hard copies from our online shop.
