A UK survey of allowances and fee payment schemes was published by the Fostering Network in October 2007, looking at the number of authorities paying the Fostering Network's minimum recommended minimum allowance rates that cover the costs of looking after a child in foster care and the extra investment needed to bring all fostering allowances up to these rates.

In England we have also examined the impact of the new National Minimum Allowance. This year's survey also examined the types of fee payment being paid as remuneration for their work, experience and skills across the UK.

The full survey is available from the Foster Care Resource Centre and is accessible by members of the Fostering Network only.
