AFA aims to provide care to foster children locally, to keep them in touch with their families, friends and communities.
The foster children we care for need foster carers who can provide stability and consistency. Foster carers must be flexible enough to understand and cope with the behaviour some foster children may display but resilient enough not to give up but to help a foster child reach full potential.
We are looking for both experienced and new foster carers from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, religions and social groups.
We are particularly looking for carers for teenagers, sibling groups and parent and child placements.

Operating for over 30 years across London East and South East, we have developed specific expertise in the provision of fostering and support care for:
children and young people with severe to moderate learning difficulties and with emotional and behavioural problems
black, asian and minority ethnic children and young people
separated children (separated children are unaccompanied children and young people seeking asylum in this country.).
Our team can provide full time, holiday and short break placements for children and young people.
We can also provide task centred placements for limited periods where we complete specific work with a young person within a family placement. This can range from intensive assessment to planned rehabilitation with parents.
