The Fostering Network provides a range of advice and information services across the four nations of the UK.

UK information line

Provides information on general fostering enquiries. Ring 020 7261 1884, 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday, or complete our online enquiry form.

England

  • Fosterline - a dedicated advice line for foster carers, fostering services and anyone interested in fostering. Covers all aspects of fostering. Call 0800 040 7675 Monday to Friday. Calls are free from UK landlines; calls from mobile networks may be charged.
  • Advice and mediation service - this service provides independent support and advice to foster carers, particularly during the investigation of allegations.
  • Consultancy service - offered to local authorities and fostering services. We would be delighted to offer you assistance in developing and implementing your procedures. Please contact Hazel Halle, Director of Services, England on hazel.halle@fostering.net or 020 7620 6432.

Northern Ireland

  • Information & Advice Officer, Doris Dickson, is available Monday-Thursday 10am-2.30pm. Doris can be contacted on 028 9070 5056or email doris.dickson@fostering.net.

Wales

  • Fosterline Wales - a dedicated advice line for everyone involved in foster care in Wales, covering all aspects of fostering. Call 0800 316 7664 between 9.30 and 12.30 Monday to Friday, or email fosterlinewales@fostering.net.
  • Independent Support for carers facing allegations can be spot purchased from the Wales office.
