Yes. You will receive training as part of the process of becoming a foster carer, to help you identify and build upon the skills you already have, to let you know what to expect when you are fostering, and to help you to deal with situations that may arise. Once you have been approved you will be expected to undertake further training to help you maintain and develop these skills.
