All our trainers have direct experience of the fostering service. Many are, or have been, foster carers and others have experience of working in children and young people's services, or have been fostered themselves. We also work with care experienced young people as co-trainers on specific courses.

Our training is supported by the innovative work of the Fostering Network. Many years of experience as the major UK-wide provider of foster care training tells us that choosing the right training is crucial in ensuring that foster carers are fully supported in their work.

The Fostering Network is committed to promoting diversity and opposing discrimination in the foster care service, and this is reflected throughout our training. We always consider caring for children in the context of the wider society and encourage participants to examine the effects on the foster care service of class, racism, sexism and discrimination against lesbians and gay men and disabled people.

Our trainers reflect the full diversity of the foster care service.
