Wednesday 23 May 2007
Dame Denise Platt will give the Fostering Network’s Nancy Hazel Memorial Lecture, Foster Care in the 21st
Century – what would Nancy Hazel do now?
The evening is a celebration of the achievements of Nancy Hazel and the extraordinary contribution that foster carers and fostering services make to the lives of many of our most vulnerable children. Nancy Hazel was a remarkable woman who was the pioneer of teenage fostering in the UK. Until Nancy Hazel showed that it was possible to recruit foster carers for teenagers, most teenagers who came into public care, went to live in children’s homes.
Invitation only. For further information contact Helen Clarke on 020 7620 6407 or helen.clarke@fostering.net.
