Congratulations to the three foster families who were recognised in the new year honours list.
Elvin and Jennifer Rose from Salford, Barry and Susan Shearman, members of the Fostering Network from Cumbria, and Anthony and Wendy Whitbourn, members of the Fostering Network from York, were all recognised for their services to children and families.
Jacqueline Wilson, the successful children's author who has generously given her time to work with the young people's project at the Fostering Network on a number of occasions, was awarded a Damehood.
