Are you part of an exceptional foster family, or do you know someone who is? Candis magazine is looking for entries for its Outstanding Family of the Year Award 2008.
They are interested in families who have made a difference - whether it be at home by fostering, adopting or caring or further afield through raising money for a local or national cause – and would love to hear about any family who has worked together to make positive changes within society.
The winning family will be announced on 10 July 2008 at a gala presentation lunch at Chester Zoo for the six regional finalists. The prize is a family holiday to Florida including flights, accommodation and theme park tickets. The five runners up will each receive a cash prize of £250.
Some simple guidelines...
- The Candis Outstanding Family of the Year Award is to celebrate a whole family’s achievements so it's not about just one person's efforts.
- There is no age limit, but they do ask that more than one generation is involved.
So please nominate a family, or your own, today!
How to enter
Send a brief summary (no more than 500 words) about the family you are nominating, outlining why you think they’re outstanding and including names, ages and contact details to: familyaward@candis.co.uk (please remember not to identify any fostered children without local authority permission).
