Senior Practitioner, Fostering Achievement, Northern Ireland
Fostering Achievement is an innovative project, specific to Northern Ireland, aimed at supporting and equipping foster carers to enable the children in their care reach their full potential and gain a sense of achievement. Based in our Belfast office, the post holder will provide advice, support and supervision to home-based Development Workers, ensure the effective processing of enquiries and manage a small case load. Part-time post in our busy Foster Care Resource Centre, involving cataloguing, developing our online services, and helping to maintain the website. This post would suit a newly qualified information professional who is seeking experience in a voluntary sector resource centre, someone currently pursuing a professional qualification, or an experienced cataloguer who is looking to broaden their skills in the online environment. Sessional Workers, North East Region

Library Volunteers - London and Glasgow
The Fostering Network needs volunteers to help run its library and information services at its offices in London and Glasgow.
The work is unpaid but provides excellent experience in library and information systems in a major UK childcare charity, and makes a real positive difference to the lives of foster carers and fostered children throughout the UK.
