The Fostering Network, which is a national organisation working with young people who have experience of care, and foster carers, is looking to recruit young people between the ages of 18- 25 as sessional workers and young people between the ages of 16- 25 as assistant sessional workers who live, and can travel within the greater London area.
These posts are open to young people who are sons and daughters of foster carers and young people who are care leavers.
Sessional workers and Assistant Sessional workers would be working alongside the project workers in the young people’s team for the Leading Our Lives project. The work involves developing participatory activities for children and young people. These activities may be fun days, focus and consultation groups, training to develop media skills or to participate in fostering panels, as well as contributing to newsletters and other work that the project undertakes.
We are keen to recruit young people as Sessional workers who have some previous experience of organising, - or being involved in organising, - activities with groups of children or young people. We are also looking to recruit young people as Assistant Sessional workers who have more limited experience which they are interested in developing.

These posts are open to young people who are sons and daughters of foster carers, and young people who have experience of care and/or who are care leavers.
